The Memphis Symphony Chorus is excited to welcome Nate Dumser as our newly appointed Director. He brings a strong background in secondary choral music education, having taught for over a decade in Shelby County Schools and at St. George's Independant School. Throughout his career, Mr. Dumser has directed both middle and high school choirs, consistently guiding ensembles to Superior ratings at the state level. In recognition of his impact in music education, he was recently named a 2026 TAA Teacher Hero by the Tennessee Arts Academy Foundation. He is known for building strong, disciplined ensembles while fostering a supportive and engaging choral environment for singers of all levels.
